The company you work for is an all-consuming money machine. A drought of innovation has swept the Bay and the only way companies think they can innovate is to either acquire, change or die.

The Special Projects Internship Program (SPIP) is designed to take disposable, young, innocent interns and give them a shot at success. Anytime someone fucks up, they lose everything and are blacklisted from the Bay. This is what’s wrong with the Bay. They treat you like disposable toys and only the toys that work, get to the top.

Interns in the Dark is a modern-day, satirical, forged-in-the-dark game that takes place in the beautiful, yet terrible area of the Bay.

The City is a living irony. Beautiful and ugly at the same time, poor and rich at the same time, and full of different cultures, but also blanketed with homogeneity and sameness. Welcome!

You play as Interns who have been accepted into a tech company in the Bay and are specifically assigned to a special internship program in a struggling company to do the most innovative thing for the company: steal valuable Intellectual Property (IP) from competitors.

Play as a variety of different archetypes and watch them grow as you complete trauma-inducing tasks and do power point presentations.

The Jock: The sports bro. Play this muscle head if you like to solve things using physical triumphs or teamwork

The Weeb: Those who play this master of blades embrace their pop culture trivia and weird anime references

The Techie: Play this character if you like to create cool gadgets and talk about LLMs a lot

The Perfect: If you like to play or were a high-stress individual, this is the class for you

The Nepo Baby: A snooty rich kid who uses their privilege to succeed

The Empath: Your ability to use words and feelings to gain allies makes this class

The Mascot: You dress up in a costume and get attention, and struggle with your identity

The mega-corporations in the Bay dominate our lives and our wallets but they are slowly dying. Whether through a lack of innovation or through internal conflicts, they rely on disposable Interns to do the dirty work. Uses the CEO’s massive ego or his various tech projects including batteries and chirps
